Karina is a first-year master’s student at the University of Alabama seeking a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She is an international student from Brazil who completed her undergraduate in Legal Science in 2012. After many years working as a lawyer in Brazil, she came to the U.S. to study in the Intensive Language Program at the English Language Institute at the University of Alabama. After getting her English language proficiency, she decided to start a master's program in the U.S. She is interested in both discussions related to minorities and gender and crime.
