Community Forum on Mass Incarceration in the US Draws Crowd

Wednesday, October 19, the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice hosted a public forum on mass incarceration in the United States. Dr. Adam Ghazi-Tehrani moderated the discussion, which was attended by approximately seventy-five students and community members. Panelists included Angela Gentry, a unit manager at the federal prison in Aliceville; Dr. Jennifer Kenney, an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice; Engret Jenkins, a re-entry coordinator for federal prisoners; Warden Dennis Stamper; Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Sherer; and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff Ron Abernathy.
