Derrick Traverzo is a 2005 graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces Officer. After his term of service with the Air Force was completed, he worked as a Criminal Investigator with the Nevada Gaming Control Board ensuring the safety and compliance of casinos in Las Vegas. In 2012, he relocated to New York City, where he currently works for Cerberus Capital Management, LP, a global private equity firm. His role ensures the firm’s compliance with existing and upcoming governmental regulations regarding anti-money laundering and sanctions measures.
