Dr. Lichtenstein Receives Career Award for Contributions to the Sociology of HIV/AIDS

Dr. Bronwen Lichtenstein has received the 2010 Award for Career Contributions to the Sociology of HIV/AIDS from the Sociologists’ AIDS Network and the American Sociological Association.

This award honors outstanding contributions to the Sociology of HIV/AIDS.  It recognizes work that has significantly advanced the understanding of social aspects of the pandemic and has contributed to prevention, treatment, or policy interventions.  Winners of this award have pursued substantial research and/or applied work related to HIV/AIDS throughout their career.

The award was presented to Dr. Lichtenstein in August 2010, at the American Sociological Association meeting in Chicago, IL.
