Bio

Shelby is a second-year master's student at the University of Alabama who is seeking a degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice. Prior to attending UA, she completed her undergraduate degrees at Mississippi State University where she earned a B.A. in Criminology and a B.S. in Psychology. Her thesis is focused on personality in the criminal justice system, and she is currently working with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office to interview individuals who are incarcerated for her study. Shelby was named Criminology & Criminal Justice's Graduate Student of the Year 2023 and intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology following her master's program.
