Nour (she/her) is a second-year graduate student at The University of Alabama who will be receiving her Master’s degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice in May of 2023. She completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Alabama with a major in Criminology & Criminal Justice, as well as a minor in Computer Technology & Applications in May of 2022. Her current research interests center on restorative justice initiatives and prison reform, as well as assisting offenders with their reintegration into society. Nour has spent her time in graduate school working on various projects with faculty members to develop her skills in data analysis and statistical programming in order to better survey what works when it comes to successfully transitioning offenders back into the community. She has also assisted in working on the Women’s Risk & Needs Assessment in Alabama, as well as working as a Teaching Assistant in multiple courses, those of which include Criminal Law I and Bitcoin Tracing.
