This semester Alpha Phi Sigma and the Criminal Justice Student Association are collecting donations for the Tuscaloosa Day Reporting Center. We will collect items up to February 28th at 4pm. Can you all please announce the drive in your classes? Feel free to forward this email and the attached flyer to your students.
Items of interest include:
- Clothing: any clothing, however, the DRC has indicated that their clients are in need of formal/business attire.
- Canned food
- Hygiene produces (body wash, shampoo/conditioner, feminine hygiene products, etc…)
Boxes for the items will be located on the 4th floor of Farrah near the couches.
If you are offering extra credit, please instruct your students to follow the directions below. This will ensure that we are able to keep records of who is donating. Once the drive ends, we will send out a list of students who donated by class.
Instructions for extra credit:
- Sign in on the sheet next to the boxes. Indicated your name, class number, and section number.
- Using a label or tape, write your name and class and place the label on the item before putting it in the box. Do not write directly on the item.
- If you are receiving extra credit for more than one class, you must donate one item per class
- Be sure to place your name, and the corresponding class number on each item.
- For clothing, you may place it in a bag and write your name and information on the bag.
